On the Hunt: The History of Deer Hunting in Wisconsin
The Pepin County Historical Society’s Autumn Education Event will be held at 2 pm in the Durand-Arkansaw High School Cafeteria on Sunday, October 19th. Featured presenter Robert C. Willging will present on his book “On the Hunt: The History of Deer Hunting in Wisconsin.”
Robert Willging is a freelance outdoor, environmental and history writer whose work has appeared in “Wisconsin Outdoor News,” “Deer & Deer Hunting,” “The Boundary Waters Journal,” “Wisconsin Outdoor Journal,” “Wisconsin Natural Resources,” “High Country News,” “Turkey Call,” “WildBird,” “The Trapper & Predator Caller,” “Fur-Fish-Game,” “Wisconsin Magazine of History,” and other publications. He has also written the book “History Afield: Stories from the Golden Age of Wisconsin Sporting Life”.
