The Greatest Mysteries of Lake Pepin
Local educator and author Goran Pesic will speak on his new book “The Greatest Mysteries of Lake Pepin” on Sunday, November 1st at 2pm at the Pepin County Heritage Center in Durand, WI! Goran has a collection of 120 mysteries and 300 years of local folklore and stories that make this region one of the most unique in the USA!
Some of the regional mysteries and folklore he has researched include comparing the physical attributes of Lake Pepin to Scotland’s Loch Ness and investigating claims about “Pepie” (the legendary lake monster), UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, Viking runic evidence, and ancient Native American burial mounds.
There is a little bit of everything for everyone to find in Goran’s presentation!
The presentation will take place in our historic courthouse courtroom. A handicap accessible TV will be set up on the main level for those unable to climb the stairs to the courtroom. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.
